Comfortable workstations close to production
Robert Bosch Fahrzeugelektrik Eisenach GmbH is based in Thuringia (Eisenach) with its Powertrain Solutions business unit and the Mobility Solutions Production function unit.
In its search for alternative partitioning for workstations, the company paid a visit to the C + P office world in Breidenbach. BOSCH’s aim was to create a healthy and atmospheric work space with workstations close to production.
Positive effect on air filtration
Based on the modular dimensions used, a total of roughly 40 m² of leaf surface was incorporated into the work environment, and this large amount of leaf surface had a very positive effect on the air filtration. Acting as a highly effective air filter, the hedge elements, with a full covering of leaves, can filter formaldehyde, benzene or other harmful substances from the air. In conjunction with the acoustic core, the indoor acoustics could also be improved.
Flexible use of mobile partitioning elements
Unlike the classic producers of greenery and fountains, C + P’s alternative greening and water elements also impressed with their design, product diversity, and various modular dimensions. BOSCH was also impressed by the flexible use of mobile hedge elements across rooms — the concealed casters enable rapid and simple relocation if office structures are to change. As a particularly low-waste and economically efficient investment, a hedge element also does the job of three partitioning elements: plant, stand-up wall, or item of furniture used exclusively for zoning.
Biophilic design in the office — positive feedback from employees
The natural plant partitions and water elements proved very popular with the BOSCH employees at the Eisenach site. The office serves as a pilot space — in future other parts of the Eisenach site are to be enriched with plant and water objects.
